Hello! π
We understand that submitting your first song may be new to you.
To make the process easier for you, we have created this tutorial π.
First, we will explain the key principles for exporting stems so that we can extract the best sound from them ποΈ.
You can then proceed to the specific tutorials for the music production software you are using.

Stems are individual tracks, such as different instruments or vocals, saved as separate audio files. They allow mix engineers to adjust and tweak each element of a song independently, providing precise control over the final sound.
We require all stems in WAV 24-bit 44.1kHz quality.
However, if you only have your stems in an MP3 format, you can also send it in that form.
We kindly request that you label the stems, as this simplifies and speeds up your mix.
For example: Lead Vocals, Overdubs, Vocals with Effects. Names like Audio 1, Audio 2 can delay the mixing process.
Each stem should be exported separately, starting from the beginning of the session. This ensures that when uploading them into our DAW program, they will all be correctly sequenced.
A MixDown is the raw version of your project. We need it to ensure that everything is exported correctly and we can start working on your track right away.
Most of the time, we ask for raw stems without any additional effects or plugins. This is especially true for vocal stems.
However, there are situations where it may be possible and even beneficial to include some stems with effects/plugins already applied. For example, a synthesizer that sounds completely different without reverb or effects.
To make it easier for you to decide, you can send us two folders. One with the raw stems and the other with stems including your effects.
This way, during the mixing process, we can determine which stems need to be mixed from scratch and which ones can be kept with your effects.
